School Year Overview

Children’s House Christian Montessori School operates on a traditional academic calendar designed to support consistency, concentration, and developmental continuity.

Our academic year typically runs from mid-August through mid-June.

The full academic calendar is published annually prior to enrollment and includes all major dates, holidays, and school closures.

Academic Year Structure

The school year includes:

First Day of School (mid-August)
Fall Break (if applicable)
Thanksgiving Break
Winter Break
Spring Break
Professional Development Days
Parent-Teacher Conference Days
Last Day of School (mid-June)

All scheduled closures and early dismissal days are clearly communicated in advance.

Work Cycle Integrity

To preserve Montessori classroom integrity:

The academic year is structured to allow uninterrupted learning progression.
Extended absences are discouraged when possible.
Consistent attendance supports normalization, concentration, and academic growth.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Formal conferences are typically held twice annually:

Fall Conference (progress review & goal setting)
Spring Conference (developmental summary & transition planning)

Additional meetings may be scheduled as needed.
